I International Convention on Labour Training for the Future - SENCE/Mintrab Chile
The I International Convention on Labour Training in Chile was organised by SENCE with the support of the Ministry of Labour and Social Security. The event aimed to bring together the labour training ecosystem, including leading international institutions, with the objective of reflecting and sharing experiences on the changes facing the world of work.
Through talks, thematic workshops and plenary sessions, topics such as new skills and talents; Industry 4.0; diversity, inclusion and gender were addressed, as well as a prospection on new labour needs and profiles.
ILO/Cinterfor participated in the panel on "Challenges of training for employment in the 21st Century", led by Fernando Vargas Zúñiga, and the closing remarks of Director Anne C. Posthuma at the closing table of the event. Other participants were: the Ministry of Labour, Employment and Social Security of Argentina; the State Foundation for Employment Training, the Ecuadorian Vocational Training Service and the National Apprenticeship Service of Colombia.
